General
What is Classifindr and how does it work?
Classifindr is a self-serve marketplace alert app for web, iOS, and Android. It checks Facebook Marketplace, Gumtree (Australia and UK), Craigslist, Trade Me, Kijiji, and OfferUp for listings matching your search criteria and sends alerts to your chosen notification channels. Start with the AI wizard or manual editor, choose one platform or Multi, fill in keywords, a picked location suggestion, radius, price range, and check speed, then Classifindr monitors automatically.
How is Classifindr better than a browser extension or refreshing manually?
Browser extensions and manual refreshing usually depend on you being at the right computer with the right tab open. Classifindr runs searches from your saved configuration, monitors multiple searches across multiple marketplaces in parallel, and sends alerts to mobile push, Telegram, Discord, email, or Web Push when a check finds a match.
What can I monitor with marketplace alerts?
You can create searches for many listing types sellers post on Facebook Marketplace, Gumtree (AU or UK), Craigslist, Trade Me, Kijiji, or OfferUp: cars and motorcycles, electronics, furniture, tools, collectibles, sporting goods, real estate, tickets, and more. Define the keywords, price range, location, rules, and check speed, then Classifindr checks public search results.
Does Classifindr offer a free trial?
Yes. Every new subscription includes a 7-day free trial with 10 units. That is enough to try one search checked every 1 minute and one search checked every 10 minutes on one marketplace each. Your payment method is collected at checkout, but you are not charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel anytime during the trial to avoid being charged.
Do I need to install an app to use Classifindr?
No. You can use Classifindr entirely from a browser with no extension required, and the same account also works in the native iOS and Android apps. Alerts can be delivered through mobile push, Telegram, Discord, email, or Web Push so you receive them on the device and channel that fits the search.
How do I install the Classifindr mobile app?
The Classifindr app is free on the App Store and Google Play. Search for "Classifindr" in either store, or visit our mobile page for direct links. Sign in with the same account you use on the web. The app supports passkeys, Sign in with Apple, Google, and email magic-link.
Are mobile push notifications reliable?
The apps use Apple Push Notification service on iOS and Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android, the standard systems for native app notifications. After a check finds a match, mobile push can reach your phone even when the app is in the background or closed, subject to Apple, Google, carrier, and device notification settings.
Supported Platforms
Which marketplaces does Classifindr support?
Classifindr supports Facebook Marketplace, Gumtree Australia, Gumtree UK, Craigslist (North America), Trade Me (New Zealand), Kijiji (Canada), and OfferUp (United States). Standard searches can target one platform or a Multi-platform set when the same criteria make sense across marketplaces. Category, condition, and Custom URL setup are single-platform choices.
Does Classifindr work in my country?
Yes. Classifindr is available globally to anyone who wants to monitor the supported marketplaces. Each marketplace operates in its own regions (for example, Gumtree AU on gumtree.com.au and Trade Me in New Zealand). Set the location by picking an autocomplete suggestion, choose a radius for standard searches, and run as many searches in parallel as your unit balance allows.
Alerts & Notifications
How fast does Classifindr send marketplace alerts?
Classifindr checks as often as every minute on the fastest tier. After a check finds a new matching listing, it sends the alert to your chosen channel shortly after. End-to-end timing depends on when the listing appears relative to your next check, marketplace availability, and the notification channel you use.
How often does Classifindr check for new listings?
You choose the check speed per search: checked every 1 minute, every 10 minutes, or every 60 minutes. The 1 minute option is for time-sensitive hunts where being first matters. The 10 and 60 minute options stretch your units across more searches when speed is less critical. You can mix and match check speeds across your searches so high-priority hunts run faster than the rest.
How can I receive Classifindr alerts?
Classifindr sends alerts through mobile push, Telegram, Discord, email, and Web Push. You can connect multiple channels per search and route different searches to different channels, so high-priority finds reach your phone while lower-priority ones go to a Discord server or inbox.
Smart Filtering & Alert Quality
How do I avoid getting too many irrelevant alerts?
Classifindr applies three layers of filtering to every search so less noise reaches your phone. Your search parameters (keywords, picked location, radius, price, and sometimes category or condition) narrow the field at the platform level. A title-rule engine then runs Require, Exclude, and Override rules on each fetched listing. AI relevance can help identify mismatches keywords cannot see, like "iPhone case" when you want a phone. Filtered listing review then lets you inspect filtered-out listings before making the rules stricter.
What if my search is too narrow and I miss listings?
Every search shows current health information in your dashboard, so you can see when a search stops matching anything. Filtered listing review also helps you catch over-tight rules because you can inspect listings that were filtered out and see why. If useful listings are being blocked, loosen an exclude rule, broaden a keyword, increase your price ceiling, or adjust AI relevance. Because Classifindr lets you adjust filters without rebuilding the search, tuning is a continuous workflow, not a one-time setup.
How do I filter out junk and spam listings?
Classifindr gives you several layers to keep alerts signal-rich. You set keyword rules per search to require or exclude specific terms (for example, require "leather" and exclude "replica"). AI filtering scores each listing's title and thumbnail against your search description, helping prioritize listings that match what you are looking for. Use filtered listing review to see which listings were filtered out and why, then adjust one rule at a time.
Can I review listings that were filtered out?
Yes. Classifindr has filtered listing review in the alert feed. You can switch between matched, filtered, and all listings, inspect match reasons, and use that context to tune include terms, exclude terms, price, radius, and AI relevance. That feedback loop helps reduce junk without silently hiding listings you would have wanted.
Can I monitor a custom marketplace search URL?
Yes. Custom URL mode lets you paste a supported marketplace search URL you already built, then layer Classifindr title rules, AI relevance filtering, filtered listing review, and alerts on top. Use it for single-platform searches when the copied address carries advanced marketplace filters such as vehicle make, model, year, category-specific filters, region boards, or native filter combinations. OfferUp uses standard search fields instead of Custom URL mode.
Can I route different searches to different notification channels?
Yes. Classifindr lets you connect multiple mobile push, Telegram, Discord, email, and Web Push channels and assign each search to whichever channels you want. A common setup is to send your most important search to mobile push or Telegram, and route lower-priority searches to a Discord server or an email inbox so they do not interrupt you.
Billing & Pricing
Why does Classifindr use units after I choose searches?
Search pricing keeps choosing simple, while units keep the plan flexible. Checkout converts your selected searches into reusable units so you are not locked to the exact searches you picked. You can swap one search checked every 1 minute for several searches checked every 60 minutes, change marketplaces, or pause one search and use that room elsewhere when the new setup still fits.
How does Classifindr's unit-based pricing work?
Classifindr uses unit-based pricing instead of fixed plans. Every active search reserves units based on the check speed you choose and how many marketplaces it checks. A search checked every 60 minutes costs 1 unit, every 10 minutes costs 3 units, every 1 minute costs 7 units, and each unit is $1.60 a month or $0.50 a week. Monthly checkout starts at 3 units ($4.80/month), and weekly checkout starts at 5 units ($2.50/week). Pause or deactivate a search and its units immediately return to your active search capacity, ready to fund a different search. Large packs also earn bonus units at no extra cost. See the pricing page for full plan details.
Can I cancel my Classifindr subscription anytime?
Yes. Classifindr has no long-term contracts. You can cancel at any time from your account settings, your searches remain active until the end of your current billing period, and your search configuration is preserved if you ever want to resubscribe.
Security & Privacy
Is Classifindr safe to use?
Yes. Classifindr encrypts your data in transit and at rest, isolates your account data from other tenants, and never sells or shares your personal data. Sign-in supports passkeys for phishing-resistant authentication, and your billing details are handled by our payment provider so we never store your card. See the security page for full details.
Do I need to give Classifindr my Facebook or marketplace login?
No. Classifindr never asks for or stores your Facebook, Gumtree AU, Gumtree UK, Craigslist, Trade Me, Kijiji, or OfferUp login credentials. Classifindr only reads publicly visible listings, and your marketplace accounts are never involved or at risk.
